  • Fine Arts teachers will need to collect the names, and subject areas of the seniors that meet the requirements for the Fine Arts Diploma Seal by March 6 to Whitney Pitts. (Students will turn in their Diploma Seal Packet to their teachers by February 27.)
  • In your child’s Fine Art(s) classes:
  • Identify if you qualify. (With proof of transcript and club/organization membership(s).
  • Get the Student Worksheet from your Fine Arts teacher.
  • STUDENT IS ACCOUNTABLE for filling this worksheet out and turning it in to their teacher by SEPTEMBER 5.
  • Teacher will hand out packet to students who qualify (Worksheet, community service sheet, official transcript, etc.)
  • The date of the Senior Showcase event will be on Thursday, April 30.
  • Teachers are currently deciding on the Senior Showcase project for students. (Please send any recommendations or ideas to us to finalize by December.)
  • Our ideas so far:
  • Senior show at the Arts Center OR Drama Room(?) with art work, band performance, choir performance and monologue?
  • Arts Center Senior Show with theatre performing a small one act play, band and choir performing together as well as a senior art show?
  • Do we let the kids decide for themselves what their capstone project will be? (Website, senior show, presenting senior portfolio to admin, etc.)

For example, a Visual Art Student who qualifies:
The student has taken three courses in Visual Arts and is now in AP 2-D design for her fourth credit. She will also have multiple hours of community service hours through mural painting, window painting and other various art-related work throughout the community throughout the year. She will be a member of the first ever Art Club at CCHS this school year. She will participate in the annual Youth Art Month show and will be in the first annual senior exhibition show in April 2026.
