School Safety

Under Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 20-2-1185), the Colquitt County School District is required to maintain a comprehensive safety plan to guide emergency preparedness and response.

Serving 10 elementary schools, a middle school, a junior high school, a high school, a gifted center, an achievement center, and district department offices, emergency response guidelines are established for each location. For immediate on-site reference, one-page Emergency Response flyers are posted in classrooms, common areas, departmental areas, and office suites district-wide.
