Letter from the principal
Welcome Back Packer Family!
It is with great excitement that I welcome our students, families, and community stakeholders to the 2025‑2026 school year at Colquitt County High School! This year marks an exciting time as we officially become a traditional 9‑12 campus, uniting all of our high school students under one roof and creating new opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed together.
At CCHS, we live by our motto: "1 Team, 1 Family." Together, we strive to embody Packer PRIDE—Pride, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence—in all that we say and do. These values guide our actions and our culture, ensuring that every student feels supported and every achievement is celebrated.
Our focus this year will center on five core values:
● Creating a Safe, Supportive, and Inclusive Culture where every student feels they belong.
● Professional Collaboration among our teachers and staff to provide the best educational experience possible
● Student‑Centered Learning that engages and challenges every Packer
● Academic Success & Literacy as the foundation for lifelong learning
● Packer PLUS 1, our promise that every graduate leaves with a plan—whether to enroll in college, enlist in the military, or become employed with the skills to thrive in the workforce
At Colquitt County High School, we are committed to preparing our students for life beyond high school. Our Packer+1 initiative ensures that each student will be “Enrolled, Enlisted, or Employed” after graduation. This plan is designed to tailor each student’s educational experience to their desired path: college, the military, or entering the workforce. Our course offerings include Advanced Placement, post-secondary options through Dual Enrollment, and a variety of career pathway courses designed for workplace readiness through our CTAE program.
We also encourage our students to actively participate in the full high school experience by getting involved in our wide array of extracurricular activities. We proudly offer 20 competitive sports and activities, and a rich fine arts program that includes our historic Choral Program, The 50 Regiment marching band, One Act Play, visual arts, and musical productions.
Our academic competition teams—Math Team, Literary, Academic Decathlon, Robotics, Science Olympiad, and Mock Trial—offer students valuable opportunities to engage in rigorous academic challenges and showcase their talents. Our Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) student organizations—including DECA, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and MCJROTC—also play a vital role in upholding the proud traditions of Colquitt County High School by promoting leadership, career readiness, and service. Beyond athletics, fine arts, and CTSOs, CCHS also offers a wide variety of student-led clubs and interest-based organizations, providing additional pathways for students to get involved, build lasting connections, and make a meaningful impact within the school community.
The year ahead is full of possibilities, and I am confident that, as "1 Team, 1 Family," we will continue to grow, achieve, and make Packer Nation proud. I look forward to partnering with you as we create unforgettable experiences and ensure every Packer’s success.
We are looking forward to making the 2025‑2026 our best year yet!
Onward, Packers!
