2023-24 Enrollment Procedures

STEP 1: Gather all required documents (see REQUIRED DOCUMENTS)
*Please be sure to bring ALL documents to your appointment. -
STEP 2: Pre-register online, using the following link: ONLINE APPLICATION
*Please note that cell phones are not recommended for submitting your online application. -
STEP 3: After submitting the online application you will be sent an email link to make an in-person appointment with our enrollment staff to finalize the registration process.
*Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive an email with an appointment link.
If you do not have access to a computer to complete your application online, kiosks will be available in our Central Enrollment office. Please make an appointment to use a kiosk, as we have limited kiosks: KIOSK APPOINTMENT
While completing the online application, families will have the option to upload required documents. If you have trouble uploading, we can help you at your appointment. At your appointment, please bring bring all required documents, so we can confirm each one uploaded clearly.
HB251 School Choice Transfer applications for the 2023-2024 school year will be accepted through August 9, 2023 will be determined based on the school and grade enrollment numbers at the time of the request.
All requests will be made through Central Enrollment.
School Choice Transfer applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be accepted from January 3rd- March 1, 2024.
ONLINE APPLICATION | KIOSK APPOINTMENT
PRE-K REGISTRATION begins Febuary 6, 2023. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED.
Your child must be four(4) years old on or before September 1, 2023 to be eligible for the Colquitt County Pre-K Program as required by the Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.
All steps below must be completed:
- STEP 1: Gather all required documents (See Pre-K Registration FAQ link below.) *Please be sure to bring ALL DOCUMENTS to your appointment.
- STEP 2: Complete the ONLINE APPLICATION link below (2023-2024 available February 6th at 12:01 am.). *Please note that cell phones are not recommended for submitting your online application.
- STEP 3: After submitting the online application you will be sent a link to make an IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT to finalize the registration process. Note: Pre-K appointments begin February 14th at 8:00 am. *No appointment will be allowed for Pre-K prior to February 14, 2023.
*If you do not have access to a computer to complete your application online, kiosks are available in the Central Enrollment office. You can make appointments to use the kiosk, but may have to return for your IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT to complete registration.

DID NOT ATTEND PRE-K?
If your child did not attend Pre-K as a four(4)-year-old, then they may be eligible to attend the Pre-K Program as a five(5)-year-old.
PRE-K SLOTS AT EACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WILL BE FILLED IN THIS ORDER:

In-Zone Students:
• Out-of-Zone Pre-K students with parents working at the elementary school
• In-county Pre-K students with siblings already attending the elementary school -
Out-Of-Zone/Out-of-County Students:
All Out-of-Zone and Out-of-County requests should be made in person at CENTRAL ENROLLMENT, not at the requested school. Note: Out-of-Zone and Out-of-County student transportation will be the parent’s responsibility.
Families that are interested in Distance Learning should complete the Pre-Qualification survey below.
*We are currently accepting applications for Semester 2 participants.*
Classes will begin January 8th.
One survey per child is required. After completing the survey, information will be verified with the District Office.
*Transfer students will be considered after we receive official transcripts from last school attended.
There is no need to call, we will review the survey and other data, then contact parents/guardians to let them know if students are eligible.
Pre-Qualifification survey:
During the 2021 legislative session, the Georgia General Assembly passed the Dexter Mosely Act (Senate Bill 42). This legislation authorizes home study students in grades 6-12 to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities in the student's resident public school system, requiring specific notification and course enrollment provisions. The law is codified in O.C.G.A. § 20-2-319.6.
