I wanted to provide some direction as it relates to student learning for the week of 1-25 thru 1-29-21. As most of you know, Mr. Doug Howell temporarily suspended face to face classes for 1-22-21, and the week of 1-25-21 thru 1-29-21. We will return to face to face learning on Monday, February 1, 2021.
Our focus for this virtual learning week will be remediation or simply catching up with missing work. This will be a great time to get help, make up work, or finish unit recovery. There will be some classes that move forward as the entirety of the class is on track to date. Our goal is to return to school on February 1st with every student caught up academically. That said, here is what a typical day will look like:
1. Students will get on-line to use the prescribed platform that each class requires.
2. Students will visit each class during the scheduled time just as if they were here at school.
For example, if a student is in Biology first period. The student will log on to the appropriate
site at 8:05a.m., visit with their teacher, get help, make inquiries, and work to ensure he or
she is caught up. This schedule will continue for the academic day.
3. Students will traverse their schedule just as if they were at school. Teachers are available
during school hours from 8-3:20 every day next week.
4. Teachers are prepared to virtually receive students daily. Please note that
students must contact teachers, or receive instruction during their regularly scheduled
class time.
We hope this plan will accommodate every student's needs as we move through these unusual times. The administrative staff will be on site next week should you have additional questions. Please work with us to ensure the academic success of your student.
Respectfully,
--
