Digital Learning
What is digital learning? Digital learning is any type of learning that is accompanied by technology or by instructional practice that makes effective use of technology. It includes blended, hybrid, remote, and virtual learning.
Traditional learning - the students and the teacher are physically present together in a classroom. They will likely use a variety of technology for teaching and learning. A Colquitt County teacher leads instruction.
Blended learning - an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place-based classroom methods. It requires the physical presence of both teacher and student, with some elements of student control over time, place, path, or pace.
Distance learning - the students are not physically present in the same location as the teacher. Instruction happens online, delivered by a teacher who is not a Colquitt County employee. Colquitt County Schools provides this option for student learning through the current Distanced Learning Program that utilizes Edgenuity or with enrollment into Georgia Virtual School courses.
