CCHS Names Rilee Miller as Head Girls Soccer Coach

Rilee Miller, Head Girls Soccer Coach

Colquitt County High School is proud to announce Rilee Miller as the new Head Girls Soccer Coach for the Lady Packers Soccer Program. Coach Miller brings a strong background in competitive soccer as both a player and coach, along with a clear vision for developing student-athletes who compete with discipline, accountability, teamwork, and pride.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Coach Miller developed her foundation in the game while competing at a high level with the Utah Avalanche Soccer Club, one of the region’s top competitive soccer environments. She continued her playing career at the collegiate level, competing for Iowa Central Community College before transferring to the University of Bridgeport. While at Bridgeport, she was part of a standout team that captured the East Coast Championship in 2016 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA National Tournament.

Following her playing career, Coach Miller transitioned into coaching at Iowa Central Community College, her alma mater. She served as an assistant women’s soccer coach for three years before taking over as head coach during her final season. This experience helped shape her understanding of program building, player development, and the expectations connected to high-level collegiate soccer.

After moving to South Georgia, Coach Miller continued her coaching career in competitive soccer environments. She spent four years with UFA Soccer Academy in academy and select team roles and also served as a college liaison, supporting players through the college recruitment process and helping connect student-athletes with collegiate opportunities. She currently coaches with BVB International Academy, working within a high-performance development model focused on technical excellence and individual player development. In addition, she has served as a South Region Olympic Development Program coach, working with some of the top youth talent in the region through the ODP pathway.

Over the past three years, Coach Miller has served as a Special Education teacher at Crisp County High School, while also coaching Girls Flag Football. Her experience as both an educator and coach reflects her commitment to supporting students academically, athletically, and personally.

Coach Miller said she is grateful for the opportunity to lead the Lady Packers Soccer Program.

“I’m incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Head Girls Soccer Coach at Colquitt County High School,” Miller said. “I look forward to building a competitive culture centered on accountability, discipline, and team unity. My goal is to help our student-athletes compete at a high level while continuing to grow as leaders both on and off the field.”

Colquitt County Athletic Director Cleve Edwards shared his excitement about the hire and the future of the program.

“Coach Miller brings a wealth of knowledge and experience coaching girls soccer at the collegiate level and high school level,” Edwards said. “We are excited to see where she can take our program.”

Principal Dr. Chris Merritt also emphasized Coach Miller’s alignment with the values and expectations of Colquitt County High School and Packer athletics.

“Coach Miller brings the leadership, energy, and commitment to student-athlete development that we want leading our Lady Packers,” Merritt said. “We are excited for the future of the program under her leadership and look forward to seeing our student-athletes continue to grow both on and off the field.”

Coach Miller’s vision for the Lady Packers Soccer Program is rooted in building a competitive culture while developing student-athletes in every area of their lives. Her focus on academics, character, work ethic, accountability, and community pride aligns with the tradition and expectations of Colquitt County athletics. Through her leadership, the program will continue working to prepare student-athletes to succeed in competition, in the classroom, and beyond graduation.

The Lady Packers will have the opportunity to meet Coach Miller during a team meeting on June 1. A community Meet the Coach date will be announced at a later time.

Outside of coaching, Coach Miller enjoys spending time with her 6-year-old daughter, who she says keeps her on her toes.

We are excited to welcome Coach Rilee Miller and look forward to the continued growth and success of Lady Packers Soccer at Colquitt County High School.
