Tony Voyles, Head Packer Soccer Coach

Colquitt County High School is proud to announce Coach Tony Voyles as the new Head Packer Soccer Coach. Coach Voyles brings a wealth of experience, proven success, and a deep understanding of the game to a Packer Soccer program with a strong tradition of excellence.

Coach Voyles has 27 years of teaching and coaching experience, including time coaching at the semi-professional, college, high school, and club soccer levels. His coaching background includes three years at the semi-professional level, one year at the college level, 27 years at the high school level, and 10 years in club soccer. He has also attained a United States Soccer Federation A License, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and high-level soccer development.

In addition to his coaching experience, Coach Voyles brings a strong playing background to Colquitt County. He played professionally in Iceland with HK Kopavogur and in North Carolina with the Wilmington Hammerheads. Most recently, Coach Voyles served as the Head Boys and Girls Soccer Coach at Thomas County Central High School, where he captured six region titles and was named Region Coach of the Year five times.

For Coach Voyles, this opportunity is also a return home to where his Georgia teaching and coaching career began.

“Colquitt County was the place I started my teaching and coaching career in Georgia, and now I’m returning to where it all started,” Coach Voyles said. “I’m very excited about coming into a soccer program that has been consistently successful for so long, and I cannot wait to get started.”

Colquitt County Athletic Director Cleve Edwards shared his excitement about the hire and the future of the program under Coach Voyles’ leadership.

“Coach Voyles is a seasoned veteran who has experienced much success in his career at Ware County and Thomas County Central,” Edwards said. “He is ready to get started and lead the way for the Pack.”

Colquitt County High School Principal Dr. Chris Merritt also expressed confidence in Coach Voyles and the impact he will have on Packer Soccer.

“Coach Tony Voyles brings a wealth of experience, championship success, and a proven commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field,” Dr. Merritt said. “We are excited to welcome Coach Voyles and his family back to Colquitt County, where his Georgia teaching and coaching career began, and we look forward to the impact he will have on Packer Soccer and our community.”

Coach Voyles and his wife, Bonny, have two children: their son, Noah, and his wife, Cara, and their daughter, Mikayla.

Packer Soccer players will have the opportunity to meet Coach Voyles on June 8. A community Meet the Coach event will be announced at a later date.

As he takes over the Packer Soccer program, Coach Voyles will look to build on the program’s success while continuing to emphasize the values that define Colquitt County Athletics: hard work, discipline, character, academic commitment, and community pride. His experience as a teacher, coach, and former professional player will help guide student-athletes as they grow both on the field and in the classroom.

We are excited to welcome Coach Tony Voyles and look forward to the continued growth and success of Packer Soccer at Colquitt County High School.
