Colquitt County families,
We understand that the recent changes to SNAP benefits may be creating challenges for some families, and we want you to know we’re here to support.
Because of the Federal Government shutdown, and based on current USDA guidance, cards will not work beginning November 1, 2025. Recipients should plan now and shop for needed items. Recipients can check their EBT card balances via the ConnectEBT website or app. You can download the ConnectEBT app on your Android or Apple device by accessing your device’s app store.
The official information is on the Georgia Department of Human Services website:https://dhs.georgia.gov/
We have gathered a list of local food banks and community resources to help support your family.
We also want to remind families that all Colquitt County Schools students receive free breakfast and lunch each school day, ensuring every child has access to healthy, delicious meals at no cost.
We are committed to helping our students and their families. Please do not hesitate to contact the social worker at your child's school if you need additional support.
