6th Science

Sixth grade parents at Williams Middle School were introduced to the Geology Standard in Georgia's Standards of Excellence. Teachers passed out supplies and students taught their parents how rocks are formed, and even modeled and classified rocks. The event was sweet! Students and parents created metamorphic munchies by layering a rice crispy treat with chocolate chips, and applying intense pressure and heat.  After learning about rocks, students and parents ate the delicious rocks they created.
