Classroom Guidance

Guidance lessons are taught by the school counselor.  It is available to students kindergarten through fifth  grades. The school counselor emphasizes the character education theme of the month to each classroom. Guidance lessons also consist of the Georgia Department of Education’s 17 Career Clusters for grades 1-5th grade. Personal safety and sexual abuse prevention lessons by the Monique Burr Foundation  are also taught to Kindergarten-5th grade. The school counselor is on a rotation for homerooms in grades K-5 every other week opposite the media specialist. Guidance lessons are taught in room 406 and are45 minutes in length for each session.
