1:1 Chromebook use

Colquitt County Schools recognizes the need for every student to have access to a device to enhance 21st Century Learning. C. A. Gray's Chromebook Plan is lined out below. Before a Chromebook is assigned to each student, the current year's Chromebook Agreement Form must be signed and returned to the school.

  • Everyday Use: First period teachers will issue Chromebooks to students at the start of the school year. The same device will be used throughout the year. Students will return CBs to 1st period classes at last bell each day for charging and safekeeping. If a student checks out early, the Chromebook should be returned to class before leaving the school.
  • One Night Checkout: If the student needs to borrow his/her assigned Chromebooks for one night to finish an assignment or study, he/she can sign the device out with the first period teacher and borrow a loaner charger.
  • Procedure for Long Term Checkout - The family should give the first period teacher 24 hours notice of the need. The teacher will unwire that assigned charger from the cart and leave both items for pick up in Student Services.
  • Procedure for Emergency Distribution: Teachers will be notified to unwire carts. All students will pick up their assigned chargers (as Chromebooks will already be in hand) at the last bell.
