R.B. Wright Elementary is celebrating outstanding student achievement on the 2025–2026 Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS), with students securing top rankings across both the Southwest Georgia Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) and the state.
The school’s top performance came in 5th-grade Science, where R.B. Wright students ranked #2 in the RESA region and placed in the top 10% statewide.
R.B. Wright also demonstrated strong academic growth in mathematics, with both 4th-grade and 5th-grade students scoring in the top 25% of all Georgia elementary schools.
Principal, Summer Hall, says, "Academic growth reflects what happens when an entire community unites around a shared goal. To our students: Your hard work and perseverance paid off! To our teachers and staff: Your passion, expertise, and tireless effort in the classroom make success possible every single day. To our parents and families: Thank you for encouraging your children, supporting them at home, and partnering with us every step of the way. To our community: Thank you for your unwavering support and investment in our school. Thank you all for making this growth possible!"
R.B. Wright’s success highlights a strong year of academic achievement for the Colquitt County School District, where students increased content mastery scores on 12 out of 13 Georgia Milestones assessments.
These results are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and determination of its students, teachers, and staff, and a strong foundation for continued academic success.
