Morning Drop Off
Students should not arrive at school before 7:10. Buses unload at 7:10. Drop off for cars begins at 7:15.
This allows buses to safely unload at 7:10.
You can walk your child into class on the first day of school.For safety purposes, you must park in the back parking lot and enter through the cafeteria to walk your child into the school.
Front of School: Pre-K and 5th Grade students and siblings are the ONLY car riders that should unload in the front at 7:15.
Back of School: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade students should be dropped off in the back of the school by the cafeteria starting at 7:15. If it is after 7:45, drive to the front of the school, park your car, walk inside the front lobby, and check your child into school.
Line One travels parallel to the awning / cafeteria.
Line Two travels straight in the alley.
Staff will unload the cars in line one and line two.
Tips for Unloading:
- Be ready to unload. Gather belongings.
- Practice unbuckling the car seat.
- If possible, place the car seat on the back side of the passenger door
- Do not park your car on the street and walk your child in the building.
- If able, your child may open your own door when car is stopped at your parent’s direction.
- Exit your car on the passenger side and go directly to the sidewalk.
- Please know that safety is our top priority.
Families with multiple children should convene at the ramp assigned to the youngest child.
Car Ramp A (Next to Front Office): Merge into carline at the red-light intersection of Tallokas Road and 2nd Street.
Car Ramp B (Next Cafeteria): Merge into carline by turning onto Cherry Avenue from South Main Street. Turn left onto 2nd Street, turn left onto Oak Avenue, and make a right-hand turn into Car Ramp B.
