SEND AN EXCUSE
If your child is absent, please send a written note or email explaining the reason for the absence.

BEING ON TIME MATTERS
Children are marked tardy if they arrive after 8:00 AM. Excessive tardies lead to attendance consequences.
OUR ATTENDANCE PLAYBOOK FOR UNEXCUSED ABSENCES
We're on the same team! If attendance becomes a concern, here's how we'll work together to support your student.
- 3 absences: Parent contact by phone, email, letter, or messaging.
- 5 absences: School conference to discuss attendance and create a success plan.
- 7 absences: Home visit by school staff.
- 9 absences: Attendance hearing with school officials, District Attorney representatives, and DFCS.
- 12 absences: Legal action may be pursued in accordance with Georgia attendance law.
