The REACH scholarship (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) is a needs-based mentorship and scholarship program that begins in the eighth grade. Upon graduation from high school, scholars are awarded up to a $10,000 scholarship to be used at Georgia HOPE-eligible two- or four-year colleges. Some colleges have pledged to double or triple the scholarship for REACH Scholars. Colquitt County Schools recognized six eighth-graders as REACH Scholars. If they complete the program, each will receive a scholarship of up to $10,000 to any HOPE-eligible college in Georgia. Congratulations to Mrs. Lee Causey - C. A. Gray's Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Causey has been an educator for fifteen years, and seven of those years have been in the science department at C. A. Gray.
