graduation requirements

*Note: To fulfill graduation requirements and to be considered for admission to a University System of Georgia college or university, students are required to take and pass specific courses in each academic area. Students should meet with their assigned counselor for detailed requirements.

Students can track their graduation progress using the Academic (graduation) Planner in Infinite Campus or a Transcript Evaluation Form. They can also ask their guidance counselor for a paper copy of both forms.

Grade Level Based on Accumulated Credits:  A student's grade level will now be determined by the credits they have earned rather than their original cohort year.  Accumulated credits must meet the required threshold for promotion to the next grade.  For example, if a student in the class of 2029 has only earned 5 credits at the end of the 2025-2026 school year beginning in the 2026-2027 school  year, they will remain classified as a 9th grader.

Display in Infinite Campus:  In Infinite Campus, the student's grade level will reflect their current credit status (e.g., 9th grade) regardless of cohort year (e.g., class of 2029).  This adjustment ensures that students and parents are fully aware of the student's academic progress and alignment with graduation requirements.  Credit status will be updated in Infinite Campus at the end of each semester.
