Dear CCSD Families,

Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year!

We are excited to reconnect with your student(s) in our 13 schools and two programs. We value your partnership in your students’ learning experience and look forward to engaging with you in various activities throughout the year.  

I wanted to share with you our three priorities for this year.  

• Academic Achievement - We have continued to work on enhancing the curriculum at all levels, providing more educational opportunities for all learners, and setting achievement goals that will give your student a firm foundation for lifelong learning.  

• Customer Service - - We want to provide the best service to the students and you, our community partners, and stakeholders. We value your input and participation in the learning process.  This year we will launch a new Parent App called SchoolNow that provides quick and easy access to important links and information from your students' schools. The app will also provide an updated means of communicating via text messages, app notifications, and calendar syncing to improve our communication with you throughout the year.  

• School Safety - This past year we hired a Director of School Safety to enhance our ability to focus on evaluating and implementing safety procedures. This year you may see increased drills, training, and information sharing as we continue to improve our ability to provide safe schools for all students and employees. We will be updating some of our safety programs and doing additional training with local law enforcement on response procedures.  

I encourage every family to review our Back to School Information on the district website and to attend Open House. The schedule for each school is posted on the Back to School Information page.  Please let us know if we can do anything to make this the best year for your student(s).
