CCHS METALS STUDENTS AT EXPO

Pictured are students in the welding program
at Colquitt County High School with equipment that four of them won in a drawing held recently by Lincoln Electric Corporation.  The students assisted Lincoln Electric Corporation and the American Welding Society at the Sunbelt Expo in the Career Opportunities in Welding exhibit.  For assisting, Lincoln entered them in the drawing.  They demonstrated Shielded Metal Arc welding and Gas Metal Arc welding processes using the Lincoln Electric Vrtex Virtual Welding machine.  Lincoln Electric Corporation is an avid supporter of Colquitt County High School’s welding program and readily offers substantial support in training the students due to the critical need for welders in the welding industry.

Instructor,
Tim Hobbs commented, "It’s awesome to have a corporation like Lincoln Electric to request for our students to assist at such an event. This tells me our program is on the right track, and my students will graduate
with a highly demanded skill."
