Why Use SAFARI?

Teachers under the Fair Use Act have been granted the right to use all or parts of some movies in their classroom. BUT there are often restrictions that leave many teachers unaware of the fact that they are indeed in violation of copyright laws or user agreements. According to Copyright Law of the United States, the term public performance  means "to perform or display it at a place open to the public or at any place where a substantial number of persons outside of a normal circle of a family and its social acquaintances is gathered."

The Terms of Use of many popular online services actually restrict or remove rights granted by the Fair Use Act.

Utilize Safari's existing QR codes to create QR Code activities that allow even your youngest students to  access quality resources. Simply type  your information into a Word or Google Doc then paste in the QR Code. Your students will need devices with a QR Reader and will need to log in to SAFARI Montage in order to fully access the resources.
