Considering AT in the IEP

AT GUIDELINES FROM GPAT:

When is AT considered?
When the student is not successful.
When a student's situation or location changes.
During ALL IEP meetings.

Who chooses the AT?
Members of the IEP team.
The student (most important)
The AT team.

What is Available?
Low tech (colored paper, pencil grips)
Middle Tech (calculators, recorders, AAC devices)
High Tech (computers, keyboards, AAC devices)

How do I get AT?
Contact the AT team.

Simple Guide:

At must be considered at all IEP meetings.
The AT Consideration Form in Infinite Campus must be used.
If a student is successful in class with:
STANDARD TOOLS AND METHODS
OR...
ACCOMMODATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS
THEN AT IS NOT NEEDED.

If AT is assigned it must be monitored/changed
as needed.

Adapted Books
 We have adapted books to help your students access literature and master standards in reading. These books contain CD's with activities you can display for your entire class. We have also had the books printed for you to check out. The books have less text and more graphics.
